Snapshots — Journo Days

Everyone has a story to tell.

If you are like me, then watching The Fall, Rise, and Fall of Media Trust, the onslaught of fake news, misinformation, defamation, and the degradation of journalism and institutions has been difficult.

It has been difficult for journos who substantiate our stories, update, and promptly correct if found in error.

It’s been difficult for everyone who blew whistles, sounded alarms, waved red flags and were ignored or trashed.

Journalism gave me and countless others the opportunity to witness history up close. We were lucky. Every day was different.

There was always something to learn, another story to report, and never enough time to write them all up.

Everyone has a story to tell.

Don’t give up!

It will take time to rebuild and restore trust in the media and in institutions. I am hopeful that it can be done.

I’m a firm believer that it can be done if accountability prevails. If the politicization of everything ends.

If oath/rule-breaker judges, lawyers, and politicians are exposed and held accountable.

If the legal profession follows its own rules … Nobody should be subjected to oath-breakers in the legal profession for one day, let alone years. It is abusive and these “legal professionals” thwart justice.

It is the oath-breaker judges, and lawyers, who are undermining the independence and the integrity of the justice system and chip away at the foundations of constitutional democracies.

What about you?

Do you think trust in politicians and institutions can be restored?

In the rear view mirror …snapshots

Below are some snapshots I took while covering the United Nations, otherwise known as “world-leader-time,” U.S. Presidential campaigns, the Clintons, the Clinton Global Initiative, and former President George Bush, with a few randoms in no particular order.

It is always different when you are there. For me, I found that some of the best and most informative moments happened off-stage.
